to Architecture for Management

Architecture
is becoming fast one of the main instrument for improving Business
IT Alignment. So, what is architecture and what can you expect from
an architect? How does architecture fit with other methods and tools,
such as DSDM and ITIL?
Architecture
plays a pivotal role in linking business strategy to day-to-day
IT operations. Business strategy states the direction a company
wants to take. Translating high-level business strategy to concrete
project objectives is difficult (if not impossible), without the
use of a standard architecture method. Cap Gemini Ernst & Young’s
Integrated Architecture Framework (IAF) provides such a standard
approach. It integrates the business strategy into successively
Business architecture, Information architecture, Information System
architecture, Infrastructure architecture, Governance architecture
and Security architecture.
The
workshop discusses the role of architecture and the role of the
architect in the development and the deployment processes and explains
why architecture is the ‘missing link’ for many of these
processes.
