Jean-Marc Bernard is a Senior IT architect at Sun Microsystems Inc. Within the Professional Services department he is responsible for all customers related IT consulting and technical architecture. He also coaches the Technical IT architect from the Data Center Team.

For a few years Jean-Marc was part of the SunReadyTM Global methodology development team SUN PS at SUN's headquarters in the USA. During that period he was responsible for continuing design and documentation of sophisticated, patentable methodologies for deployment and integration of high-end Sun servers into mission-critical production environments for enterprise resource planning, e-commerce, and .Com applications.

He also was responsible for the development and worldwide deployment of a comprehensive assessment SRAA based on ITIL. Next to that he was architect for the SunTone certification for Service Provider: Assessment based on ITIL and SunReady

Jean-Marc obtained a Ph.D. in 1990 in Mathematics with specialization in Computer Science at the University of Paris VI, Jussieu (Laboratoire MASI)
