Michiel
van der Voort studied mathematics at the University of Amsterdam.
After after having worked for several years as a teacher mathematics
and computer science, he was responsible at EXIN, the world wide
examination institute for information science, for the development
of exams. In 1996 he became productmanager for this organisation.
In this new position at EXIN, he was also responsible for the development
of new IT-certification standards.
He was closely involved with the development of AMBI, a major IT-standard
in Holland.
After a few years as manager of certification, he was assigned in
2002 as deputy-director.
His most important points of interest are innovation and development
of IT-certification (I-Tracks and Frameworks). He is a member of
different (international) workgroups in the field of IT-training
and education.
